Civica and Perot Systems awarded Land Registry contract
to support ‘smart’ product development programme
Companies to bring global services model and skills to Land Registry’s
Information Systems development activities in 3-year agreement
Civica, a market leader in software-based solutions that help organisations to improve service delivery and efficiency, teaming with global IT services provider Perot Systems, has been awarded a three-year framework contract by Land Registry for application development services. Under the agreement, Land Registry – which safeguards title on England and Wales’ 21 million registered properties - will augment its extensive internal information systems provision in particular with increased capacity for innovation.
Land Registry has continued to invest in enhanced information systems in order to deliver improved and innovative services with greater efficiency. The agreement - procured under the UK Government’s ‘Catalist’ framework - will enable core internal teams to utilise services provided by Civica and Perot Systems when demand outstrips supply, and to rapidly address application development and staff resource needs for specific programmes.
Civica and Perot Systems will provide access to a broad range of technical and specialist skills and discrete offsite application development.
John Wright, IS Director, Land Registry, said: “The framework provides a flexible and robust model for resourcing that enables us to respond quickly to the demands of our key programmes. Blending internal and external delivery will provide the ability to meet requirements efficiently, whether small or large. In particular, we’re very keen to share smarter development practices between the different teams and enhance our overall capabilities. We’re excited at the prospect of pursuing innovative projects knowing they are supported by the flexible resourcing model we have put in place.”
Udayan Kelkar, VP EMEA, Perot Systems, said: “We have a track record of rigorous and innovative application development and a flexible delivery model. Through Perot Systems’ offshore development centres, we are able to provide high productivity and reduced time to market without compromising on quality. We look forward to working alongside Civica to build on the successful experience that we have already gained with Land Registry.
Tim Magness, director, Civica said: “The combination of Civica and Perot Systems brings breadth and depth of skill and experience in order to help Land Registry enhance its world class information assets. Civica is an established Catalist provider with extensive experience of public sector programmes, while Perot Systems blends global IT services capability, deep technical knowledge and a successful relationship with Land Registry. We look forward to working together with Land Registry to help achieve its goals.”
