Flare Software signs 200th customer & changes name as Civica launches public protection unit
New identity for leading provider of local government public protection systems as part of integrated focus on enhanced customer value
30 January 2006, Bath … Civica plc, one of the UK’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and managed services to the public sector, has announced a new identity for Flare Software Systems (UK) Ltd, with the launch of Civica Public Protection.
Following the acquisition of Flare in July 2005, Civica has integrated and re-branded the company, which is the leading systems provider to local government in the areas of environmental health, private sector housing, waste management and trading standards. The new organisation combines current Flare and Civica products in these areas to offer a broader set of complementary solutions.
The launch of Civica Public Protection, and the re-branding of Flare’s solutions under Civica’s growing ‘Authority’ brand, coincides with Flare signing its 200th customer, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, following a competitive tendering process for a strategic housing software system.
