Housing Solutions Designer

Location: Home based with UK Travel
Status:  Permanent

Role Purpose: To work with customers and colleagues for the successful implementation Civica Housing Software products

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a single point of contact for client implementation team to:
• Work closely with clients to analyze business requirements and translate these requirements to solutions
• Deal with ongoing implementation issues
• Facilitate Change Control Management in liaison with Civica’s Project Manager
• Co ordination of solution requirements / specifications
• Oversee the implementation of the solution
• Attend regular review meetings with Client
• Ensure coordinated approach from Civica for Solution Delivery
• Ensure Solution is delivered as defined
• Ensure version control is maintained for solution delivery
• Provide Project Manager with high level requirements for solution to enable decision making
• Provide Project Manager with regular updates on project task status
• Facilitate the writing of high level design specifications
• Act as Civica ‘Sign Off’ for functional and design specifications
• Work with Civica Development and Project Stakeholders to develop proposed solution
• Assist client with preparation for future project stages – ie test planning / training
• Support UH Consultants Team Leader in respect of Team Operational issues, including Resource Planning, Delivery of Team Performance Improvement Targets, and Annual Staff reviews.
• Assist the UH Consultant Team Leader in delivering the Performance Improvement Plan, by developing new approaches to Service Delivery, implementation documentation and other areas when required
• Deliver implementation Consultancy to Customers onsite and remotely, including training
• Attend and deliver presentations / demonstration to customers
• Support and advise other team members and Civica Divisions with work related issues to ensure they are up to date with any software issues or changes and approaches to consultancy and to provide mentoring to colleagues
• Deliver Revenue days set as target
• Travel extensively through the UK to Customer sites
• To contribute to Product Management and Development where required including producing or contributing to product specification, testing and recommendations for Product enhancements

Skills Required:

• Experience of Designing & Implementing Software Solutions within the social Housing Market
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of up to date policies for Social Housing
• Ability to manage expectations and control change in an IT projects environment. 
• Experience of working with process based applications
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005
• Understanding of Citrix.
• Understanding of XML, HTML, and Web Services
• Understanding of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)
• Able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
• Understanding of PRINCE2 or similar Project Management Methodology.
